ZU-AMN seeks Hoho's stand on Boudi
In a missive addressed to the President of the Naga Hoho, ZU-AMN general secretary Dr S Xavier Pamei claimed that the Zeliangrong Union of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland (ZU-AMN) is the only mainstream organisation representing the Zeliangrong people as it has been so.
"I beg to enclose herewith the extract of the resolution No 10 (c) of the Union Assembly of the Zeliangrong Union (AMN) dated 05/02/08 which states that the organization such as Naga Hoho, UNC, Tenyimi and other tribe organizations be informed that the ZU (AMN) is the only mainstream organization representing the Zeliangrong people as before.
The ZU (AMN) shall not co-operate with any organization or body which recognizes the so-called Zeliangrong Boudi (AMN)", stated Dr.S Xavier Pamei in the message sent to the Naga Hoho President.
The ZU-AMN then stated that the proceedings of the General Convention held at Tamenglong and the intimation of new office bearers of ZU (AMN) had been forwarded "to your good office earlier for your kind perusal and necessary action".
"The ZU (AMN) put on record of its dissatisfaction over the mismanagement of the Naga Hoho for not intimating the ZU (AMN) in any of the Naga Hoho's affairs.
The ZU (AMN) would like to know whether the Naga Hoho had taken any decision to remove the ZU (AMN) from the Naga Hoho as one of the constituent units of the Naga Hoho if so, the Naga Hoho had adopted a resolution to exclude the ZU(AMN) from the Naga Hoho.
If not, who was the person(s) responsible for such misconduct to exclude the ZU (AMN) from the Naga Hoho?," asked the Zeliangrong Union of Assam, Nagaland and Manipur in its missive to the President of the Naga Hoho and added, "We are sorry to note that a well organized and high level body like the Naga Hoho has failed to understand and ignored one of its important constituent units without undergoing formal and due process of the constitution".
The letter of the ZU-AMN signed by Dr S Xavier Pamei then alleged that the ZU (AMN) and Zeliangrong people considered the decision of Naga Hoho to entrust the ZB (AMN) formed by an unauthorized person to host the meeting is very serious and the enclosed extract of the "Union Assembly" proceeding is self explanatory.
"We, therefore, request the Naga Hoho leadership to kindly understand the issue and redress the issue immediately.
Thanking you in anticipation," concluded the volatile letter of the ZU-AMN to the Naga Hoho.
