NNC/FGN greetings on Naga Plebiscite Day

Dimapur, May 15 (TEN): NNC/FGN has greeted the Nagas on the eve of 58th Naga Plebiscite Day.
In a message, NNC (Adinno faction) president Adinno Phizo said the Nagas had been enduring the occupational Indian Army since 1954 but the democratic will of freedom- loving people of Nagaland could not be denied by India forever.
“Now that the world is fast accessible by the advent of the internet and open borders, image shy Indian aggressors could no longer conceal the unremitting Indian occupation army militarized tyranny in Nagaland”.
Adinno said the Nagas were well aware that a political climate of divide and rule under foreign occupational army could never be compatible with peace and normalcy. Similarly, she said, the “prevailing woeful sectarian violence of mindless killing, kidnapping, intimidation, and extortion, perpetrated by a depraved section of Naga people against Naga people in Nagaland under false pretences betray the Naga stand and has nothing to do with freedom of Naga nation”.
Adinno called upon the people in Nagaland to remain steadfast and confidently look forward together to attain “our Naga leader vision for the people of Nagaland to be a Man among men and to be a Nation among nations.”
Greeting Nagas all over the world, NNC (Panger faction) vice president Kiumunkam Yimchungru said “This is our right of Independence of Nagaland, conducted and proclaimed to the world more than half a century ago”.
He said the Nagas and NNC in particular stuck to “this historic right of Nagaland as a people and Nation till date”, adding as long as Nagaland was not recognized as an Independent State officially by the world body and Government of India in particular, the NNC would continue its struggle for the official recognition.
“The NNC (Parent Body) is the very beginning of the Naga Politics and will be the final Political settlement of struggle for recognition as an Independent Sovereign State of Nagaland. May God help Nagaland”!
On the occasion and under the leadership of President Dr. Senka Yaden, Kiumunkam urged all factions of Nagaland to reaffirm their stand on the Naga Plebiscite and unite under the inalienable right of Nagas for sovereignty as this was the urgent need of the hour in the homeland.
The FGN in a separate message issued by its Kedahge “Brig” (Retd) S. Singnya said the Naga Plebiscite affirmed the established desire and will of the people to remain a Sovereign Nation. “We shall remain inseparable as a whole today for what our fore bearers had accomplished and entered into and passed it down to us”.
“Brig” Singnya expressed gratefulness to the pioneers of NNC for their wisdom and foresight of such a need which enabled the faction to tide over the manifold adversities that confronted the Nagas in the course of their history and to exist as a unique nation to this day.
“In pursuing the noble goal of freedom, we had encountered barriers from both outside and within. It is human failings and selfishness which engulfed our people to plunge into fragmentation and fratricidal killings for over the past twenty eight years”.
“Brig” Singnya reiterated that FGN would remain committed to the principle of maintaining friendly relations with other nations stating “much will depend on our relationship with others to explore our resources and to translate our dreams into reality to make Nagaland a developed and respectable nation”.
