Senapati DC banned

Dimapur, May 20 (TEN): The deputy commissioner of Senapati is proscribed by the Naga Peoples’ Organization from functioning or attending as DC. Deputy Commissioner Kumari Nidhi Kesarwani, IAS, has been directed by the NPO to come and collect her belongings at the earliest.
The NPO in a note gave the reason that the DC had been constantly irresponsible and negligent toward the public of Senapati. She was once even warned by the NSCN (IM) for reasons best known to the outfit, the NPO stated in a note issued through its president M Dili. “The NPO with much pain and concern could (bring) about an amicable understanding to let her attend office without confrontation and problem with the undergrounds” the organization explained.
Further, this message was conveyed to her time and again through the Superintendent of Police of the district. However, in spite of the repeated requests, she has yet to attend office till date, neglecting the public, particularly the students’ community, the NPO stated. It explained that students of Senapati had to miss various entrance examinations like the MBBS terms as they could not obtain her assent on various important documents.
Taking strong exception of the irresponsibility demonstrated by the DC, the NPO with all the tribes of Senapati have decided to ‘boycott’ Deputy Commissioner Kumari Nidhi Kesarwani, IAS, from Senapati. “She will not be allowed to attend and function as deputy commissioner or whatsoever in Senapati district; she is allowed to collect her belongings at the earliest time” the NPO said.
