NCRC Youth Crusade from May 23
Dimapur, May 18 (TEN): The youth department of Nagaland Christian Revival Church, Sumi Kohima will be organizing a Youth Revival Crusade under the theme ‘Revive us oh Lord’ located at Church Road Midlane from May 23. The main speakers will include Professor Yanger Ao, Pastor NCRC Dimapur, who is one the most sought after convention speakers for students. He is also a powerful preacher and a Bible teacher for young people. The other speakers include Vizokho Pastor, Shisha Hoho, Pruize, a man of God with spiritual powers of God. NCRC Youth Director Yeheto in a release has invited all youth, irrespective of churches and denominations, to join in this unique spiritual celebration. “We certainly hope that you will receive spiritual gifts abundantly and let your presence and participation make this festival a difference,” he further added.

NSF urges all for rally participation
Dimapur, May 18 (TEN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) extended its fullest co-operation to the initiative of the Nagaland GBs and DBs’ call for a public protest rally scheduled for May 20 in all the districts. The Federation called upon every peace-loving Naga citizen to participate in the rally to demonstrate their aspirations for peace. The NSF in a note from its executives also reminded the Naga groups and factions that the sentiments and will of the people should be respected by maintaining immediate cessation of violence and killing within the Naga family.

The NSF also appealed to all the schools, class VIII students and above, and colleges in the state to attend the rally in uniform. The entire business establishment in the state should respect and maintain the sentiment of the people by attending the rally programme, it also stated. The NSF further demanded that all the private and government offices should observe a holiday in the state and participate in the rally in the interest of Naga community.


GBs Union Dimapur informs
Dimapur, May 18 (TEN): To do the arrangements for the proposed rally, organised by the Joint Forum of Nagaland GBs and DBs, the GB’s Union Dimapur (DGBU) has informed all GBs of Sadar area to be present at Dimapur public ground at 6 am on May 20. This was stated in a press note issued by Yeheto Zhimomi, general secretary, DGBU. A separate release issued by I Pangjung Tsudir, chairman DGBU, stated that the GB should inform the DMC member of the area in concern before distributing the SK Oil in the area or colony.


MIP clarifies on omission
Dimapur, May 18 (TEN): The NSCN-IM informed of what it stated as an omission in the newly constituted “GPRN ministry” that the name of one Wapang Jamir was left out. An MIP note stated that the newly inducted member of the “national judicial board” was left out inadvertently. There are altogether 11 members with status equivalent to dy. Kilonser, it informed, and that one Imtimarok is the convener with status of “cabinet kilonser,” the MIP added.

Bayavu Area Panchayat informs
Kohima, May 18 (TEN): The Bayavu Area Panchayat Kohima has informed all the residents of the colony that there will be a general meeting on May 20 at 3:00 pm at the Community-cum-Badminton Hall, Upper Bayavu, Kohima. All the senior members of the colony, women, youths, and at least one representative from each family have been informed to attend the said meeting positively. Various pressing matters pertaining to the welfare of the colony will be discussed at the meeting, according to a release issued by M Pienyu, general secretary Bayavu Area Panchayat.

Phek adhoc teachers convene meeting
Dimapur, May 18 (TEN): An emergency meeting of all the adhoc teachers’ who have completed 3 years and above in service on or before May 14, 2007, from Phek district is being convened on May 20 at the auditorium of the government higher secondary school, Phek at 11:30 am. According to Thupukhruyi Venuh, President, All Nagaland State Teachers’ Association, Phek Unit, the meeting will dwell on important issues confronting adhoc teachers of the district. Venuh has further directed all the concerned teachers of the district to make themselves available on the said meeting at the stipulated time positively and mentioned that the house shall not entertain any grievances of the concerned teachers’ in whatsoever manner who were absent in the meeting. ZTC grateful to public
Dimapur, May 18 (TEN): Khehoshe H Yeptho, the Chairperson of the Zunheboto Town Council (ZTC) and his colleagues have expressed gratitude to the general public for their cooperation while executing works for the beautification and adornment of Zunheboto town. A press note from the ZTC mentioned that it is carrying out work for expansion of streets and hoped that with this kind of continued cooperation the ZTC will be able to carry out work for better living conditions of the people. Meanwhile, the ZTC has also informed the citizens to dump waste in the dustbins that have been erected for their convenience and added that many other developments were coming up, like drainage systems, erection of street lights, etc. The note also thanked Satish, IOC, BRO and his team for their physical and material support.

CKT appeals to govt employees
DIMAPUR, May 18 (TEN): The Chuchuyimlang Students’ Union (CKT) has appealed all the employees under different departments of the Nagaland state government (including gazetted to fourth grade employees) posted at Chuchuyimlang to attend their respective offices regularly with effect from June 2, 2008.

A press release issued by Imtiyongdang, president and Imliwapang, general secretary of the CKT has further informed all the government employees concerned to reach Chuchuyimlang on or before the above mentioned deadline and resume their respective duties for the benefit of the general public of the area.

While highlighting that the CKT was willing to render all possible help and assistance for the welfare of the government employees during their stay and work in Chuchuyimlang, the student body has strongly cautioned that if any employee does not comply with the appeal, it will initiate stringent action against the person concerned.

JD (U) express concern at fratricide
Dimapur, May 18 (TEN): The Nagaland JD (U) has expressed great concern over the relentless killings taking place in the state. A note from the Nagaland JD (U) appealed to the armed organizations to shun the path of violence. The JD (U) also calls upon all political parties and civil organizations to “maintain a positive attitude” to maintain peace in the state.

The party also assured to render full cooperation and support to the NPF-led DAN government in all constructive policies undertaken, headed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.

The state government is appealed to maintain strict and constant vigil in maintaining the ceasefire ground rules so that extortion, violence and bloodshed are done away with.

The party also lauded chief minister Neiphiu Rio and the DAN government for being selected for the coveted award of Unite Nations Public Service award for community services and innovative social institutionalization. The award brings honor to Neiphiu Rio, the DAN government and the Naga people before “international eyes” stated president of Nagaland JD (U) S Lima Temjen.
